Well, finally!
After a fallow year in which I didn't lift a finger related to knitting, during which I neither designed nor knit, I finally have a new design in the works. While I was actually pretty down due to the covid years, something exciting did happen this year. I got hired to sing with the Israeli Opera chorus! My first production with them was a terrific production of Aida, and since Verdi is my favorite composer, I was thrilled. And I've been engaged for the 22/23 season, so I'll be singing in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann, a double of bill of Rachmaninoff's Aleko and Mascagni's Cavelleria Rusticana, and another Verdi, this time Il Trovatore. So the new design is dedicated to music. It's going to be a top down turtleneck in black and white, with a stave of music down each sleeve and a piano keyboard up the front. And it's knit with contiguous set in sleeves so there won't be any seaming at the end!
